A 1947 film starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour.
Hopes photographers office is situated opposite a private detectives played by Alan Ladd. Whilst hanging around the office one day, Hope is mistaken for the detective by a beautiful woman, Dorothy Lamour. During this case of mistaken identity she hires Hope to track down her missing uncle and also entrusts him with a valuable map. Upon his search he follows a trail of evidence leading to Geologist Reginald Denny. The Geologist is murdered and hope finds himself accused of the crime and facing death row.
